Ingredients:
Instructions:
- Wash beans and rice. Bring water to a boil, add rice and beans, and let simmer over medium-high flame while you prepare your vegetables. Then add vegetables to cooking rice and beans.
- Heat oil (about 1/2 cup) (oil is in the instructions but not in the list of ingredients. Sorry!!) in large frying pan. Add onions, ginger and garlic and saute over medium-high flame until browning. Add all spices besides salt and herbs. When nicely well done, combine onions with cooking beans and rice.
- You will now need to stir the dish often, to prevent scorching. Add herbs. Continue to cook and stir until totally and completely well-done. The consistency should be rich, thick and soup-like, with ingredients barely discernable.
- Serve with yogurt, or with cheese melted over the top.(I like to eat it with a heap of ghee.)
